The Happenin' Hancocks!

We are fortunate to have the darling Hancock Family as our neighbors and I just adore them!  Mom, Melanie, is one of those amazing mothers who is always so together and I just watch her in awe.  So organized, always looks great, her 3 darling girls always have the cutest hair do - even for 9 AM church and they are on time, seriously I think the whole ward is in awe at how she does this!  She is an amazingly patient mother, and I could just go on and on about all of her amazing qualities and talents, seriously, I wish I could do half of what this women does.  Anyway, rather than embarrass her further (love you Mel ;), onto the photo shoot!  I was so excited to shoot family pictures of them - such a darling family, 2 cute boys and 3 gorgeous (seriously, I am scared for Curt and Mel when they are teenagers!), gorgeous girls!  They were so much fun to photograph!  This was also my first shoot with my brand new lens (wahoo!) and while it is fabulous, it has taken some figuring out and getting used to, so while every shot may not have been as great as I was envisioning, I got plenty of great ones!  Here are a few of my favorites...

This is my absolute favorite shot of them!  I love all the kids' faces of disgust and tongues sticking out!  So funny!  Don't worry Curt and Mel, you really don't look gross, you guys are one hot couple!

  4. I love pictures that show the personality of the subject - like the one with the girl reading the book under the tree. (I don't know if she really likes to read, but I believe it looking at this photo!) This picture just melts my heart! So great Josie!
